Government Hotel Bôrik serves the state administration, primarily the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic, as an accommodation and dining facility for official meetings and high-level negotiations.

It also hosts various social events, such as receptions, banquets, and similar gatherings. From a tourist perspective, however, the hotel offers something for the general public, particularly for those seeking an unusual walk. The hotel features a very nice viewpoint.
For a walking visit, the hotel can be reached via a significant uphill path from the area near Lafranconi Bridge or from the historic city center, as it is located above the level of Bratislava Castle. Alternatively, you can take the trolleybus running along Mudroňova Street, followed by a short walk to the hotel. It is also accessible by car.
A short trip to the hotel is suitable for anyone interested in exploring hidden corners of the city. The main attraction for the public is the viewpoint, which offers a clear, relatively undisrupted view of Karlova Ves, Dlhé Diely, the Danube, Lanfranconi Bridge, and even part of Austria.
There is a minor limitation: access to the viewpoint requires notification at the gate, as the area is fenced. If that is not possible, a small alley running just below the hotel also leads to an equally nice view, just a few meters lower.
The area surrounding Hotel Bôrik is notable for its variety of villas from different eras, featuring both historic and contemporary architecture. This makes it a very pleasant area for exploratory walks, where you could easily spend several hours wandering.
