The Pečnianska Riviera consists of rocky beaches on the Danube River in Bratislava, located in the Pečniansky Forest near the Lanfranconi Bridge. It is a lesser-known spot, but it has been growing in popularity recently. These are pebble beaches whose size depends on the water level of the Danube. When the river flow is low, the beaches become exposed, allowing you to walk dozens of meters out into the riverbed.

The beaches in Pečniansky Forest are covered with smaller pebbles, making them easy to walk on. In several places at the edge of the forest, there are fire pits. You can regularly come across campers here, especially on weekends and holidays. However, these fire pits are probably not officially permitted.
The fastest way to reach the Pečnianska Riviera is from under the Lanfranconi Bridge, where buses stop. There is also a large parking area nearby. A short walk from there takes about 15–20 minutes. You just need to cross the Lanfranconi Bridge and descend from the cycling embankment.
There are several trails leading to the area, so navigation is not difficult. From there, you simply make your way to the Danube. A path runs through the local forest parallel to the river, allowing you to easily reach beaches farther from the bridge.
In summer, many people also swim in the Danube. However, this is only recommended at your own risk due to unpredictable currents that may occur in the river. Mosquitoes can sometimes be a nuisance depending on the season, so bringing insect repellent is definitely advisable.
