Kráľova hora is a popular recreational spot, especially for residents of Karlova Ves District, and particularly for those living on the Dlhé Diely hill. It is a fairly expansive meadow, partially overgrown but crisscrossed with numerous paths.

Kráľova hora

The area sits at the top of Dlhé Diely and is easily accessible by public transport, being just a few minutes’ walk from the final stops of buses and trolleybuses.

The Kráľova hora area is especially popular among dog walkers, runners, and people who enjoy flying kites. The location also offers opportunities for walks toward Devínska Kobyla Hill. Cyclists can head from here toward Devín District as well. On the meadow, there are several fire pits, making it possible to spend time here in a variety of ways.

Thanks to its good accessibility, the area is suitable for all age groups. The only minor challenge is the final uphill stretch from the public transport terminus, but it runs along a well-paved asphalt path, so it poses no real difficulty. Even strollers can be easily pushed up the slope.

Kráľova hora also offers some nice views, particularly to the south toward Austria. Visiting at sunset can therefore be a particularly enjoyable experience.
